Art by Mies Studio
Art by Mies
20 Andringa Street

Step into a space where creativity and colour come alive. Our gallery is both a working studio and an intimate exhibition venue, dedicated to showcasing the vibrant work of local artist Mies. The gallery exclusively features her diverse collection of portraits and landscapes. Each piece rich in emotion, colour, and life.

Mies’s work is characterised by a bold, impasto-inspired technique, infused with her own distinctive artistic voice. Her expressive brushstrokes evoke movement and vitality, while subtle nods to Expressionism invite reflection on the delicate line between perception and reality. Her approach is as daring as it is imaginative. She explores texture and depth with a range of tools, from brushes and palette knives to mops and even credit cards, creating layers that surprise and captivate.

Each artwork becomes a visual narrative, capturing the complexity of the human experience and inviting viewers into a space of personal reflection. Through fearless experimentation and a deep sensitivity to human emotion, Mies is an artist destined to leave a meaningful imprint on the art world.

Projekt is a new Stellenbosch-based interior design studio and showroom hub offering an end-to-end approach to residential and commercial interiors, from concept and planning through to sourcing, installation, and final styling.
