Peter Clarke (b.1929, Simon's Town – d. 2014, Ocean View) was a tireless chronicler of his time. With a career spanning over 6 decades and encompassing a wide array of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and handmade artist books, Clarke’s enduring fascination with paper as both medium and metaphor informed much of his printmaking and collage practice.

The show brings together largely unseen pieces from the archive (1952 to 2013), marked by Clarke’s subtle yet incisive social critique, his warmth, lyricism, and a vibrant sense of humanity.
