Joburg Ballet teams up with Candice Berman Gallery to launch its first photographic exhibition, Framing the Body in Motion, featuring acclaimed South African photographer Kamogelo Machaba and artists of Joburg Ballet. Presented during Joburg Ballet's 25th Anniversary year, the exhibition captures a moment in the company's history, documenting a diverse generation of dancers who embody Joburg Ballet today and beyond. Curated by Artistic Director Dane Hurst in collaboration with Kamogelo Machaba (with support from Fujifilm) and fashion label BAM of BAM Collective, the exhibition will showcase the company through photography, fashion, colour and movement.
